We are delighted to announce that we have been successful in our application to Essex County Council. We have been awarded a grant from their Climate Action Challenge Fund for 75% towards the costs of fitting solar panels to the roofs of our premises.
The works are to be completed by Solar Power (GB) Ltd and we are hopeful of them being completed in full before the end of the year. As in the past we continually work behind the scenes to improve the long term future of our facilities whilst doing everything we can to keep the costs to hirers as low as possible.
As part of the project, we aim to place a large emphasis on community engagement which will cover various plans and ideas allowing you to have your say in helping our region to work together for not just now but for the future, so we can can achieve reduced carbon numbers whilst we engage with net zero.
